In his time at Hackett, Tyler has grown very close to many of his classmates and will miss them in college. His best memories from high school are on the baseball team, and is hoping to continue his baseball career. He states, “I am excited to be able to play this game for longer. I have always wanted to play baseball at the next level.”
Tyler Brand, born May 25, 2007 in Kalamazoo, is a core member of Hackett’s senior class. Through his high school career, he has been part of the tennis, basketball, and baseball teams. His favorite sport is baseball, and he cherishes the memories that he has made there.
Tyler went to St. Augustine for elementary and middle school, and remains close with many of his classmates from there. His favorite memories from childhood involve playing basketball with his guys and hanging out with friends. He also loves playing with his three dogs, Coco, Wrigley, and Ari. Tyler is the oldest child in his family with a younger sister, Katie.

Tyler wants to be remembered by his classmates as someone who cares about them and loves the Hackett community. “I really appreciate the support that comes from the student section at basketball games, it means a lot to have such a strong sense of community.”
Next year, Tyler plans on attending Lake Michigan College and playing baseball there. He looks forward to meeting new people and making new memories.
