A Shrek-tacular Show

Last Saturday, March 12, I watched Shrek The Musical, and I highly recommend everyone make time to see the show. I found the production very entertaining and the music performed was absolutely stunning.

Shrek is one of the most lovable films, and the characters have become very iconic. Shrek the Musical's cast and crew have been working hard since last December to bring this production to life.

In order to promote the musical to those who haven't seen it yet, the director of Hackett’s theater department, Mr. Rafferty, explained that the musical adaptation will not be an exact replica of the movie Shrek. Attending the musical will provide the same enjoyment as the film, but with a few new surprises!

He stated: “Lyrics of the songs are purposely written to be funny. If you like the movie, you will love the musical!”

Hackett's musical performance had a charm that made it very enjoyable to watch. Shrek The Musical provided the lovable sense of humor from the film and performed some of the most iconic scenes while adding catchy songs that brought the musical to life.

Last weekend, Friday, March 8th at 7 p.m., was opening night of Shrek The Musical. The next shows will be performed on March 15th and 16th at 7 p.m. Come see the show!

Ticket prices are $12 for adults and $10 for students and seniors. They can be purchased at the door or in advance at
