A Sweet Re-treat
What’s the best way to deepen your relationship with your classmates and God? A Retreat! The Senior class has been blessed with the opportunity to take a day off from school and travel to St. Martins in Vicksburg where they will spend a day growing in spirit together. You might be wondering why we go on retreats. Campus Minister Ms. Gergely answered by saying,
“Retreats allow us to get out of our everyday world so that we can be more fully available to listen to God and have a more personal relationship with him. Another important aspect of having school retreats is forming that special bond between classmates.”
The class will be separated into two different days, boys on November 24th, and girls on November 25th. Ms. Gergely has planned a school day's worth of fun activities including a talk from a well-respected surprise speaker.
School retreats are not something you want to miss. Students who fail to attend the retreat on November 24th and 25th will have to make up for this by attending an alternative retreat. In recent years the alternative retreat has been online or with other classes. It is highly recommended to not miss the first retreat because you will miss out on an incredible class bonding experience. So seniors, remember to turn in your signed permission slips to your theology teachers. Thank you!
