Another Win for the Lady Irish

The Hackett Girls Varsity Basketball team took home another win for their season in a rough game against Constantine on Friday, January 18, beating them 36-25.

This game was more physical than usual when a few of the players on both Constantine and Hackett were injured during the game. A girl from Constantine dislocated her pinky finger and Hackett sophomore, Erin Cook, got shoved hard when attempting to take a charge.

Alyse Baughman, a senior on the Hackett Varsity team, had also been injured when she rolled her ankle twice during the game. However, this didn’t stop her from leading the team with a total of 17 points, 12 rebounds, and 7 steals.

Despite the roughness of the game, the girls basketball team managed to fend off Constantine to add yet another win to their record, which is now 6-3.

Come support the Lady Irish in their upcoming games, which are both located at Hackett beginning at 7pm on Monday, January 22 against St. Philip, and Wednesday, January 24 against Michigan Lutheran.
