Last week some members of Deca traveled to Detroit for the State competition. The competition started on Thursday and ended on a Saturday. Here is an inside look at what the members of Deca did while on their business trip. 

On Thursday we stayed at the renaissance and hung out there for a few hours waiting to get checked in. We went to Huntington Place for orientation. After that we went back to the hotel and just hung out. 

Friday was competition day, which went from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. We all got assigned a time slot to present so in the times where we weren't presenting it was pretty boring–just sitting and waiting. After that we just hung out at Huntington place and walked around and had fun. 

At the end of the day we went to get dinner in Detroit and afterwards we went to awards. Saturday was awards day started at 9:00 at Huntingtons and this was pretty important because we all went to see if we were going to make Nationals. After the awards ceremony we stopped to get Culvers and made our way back to Kalamazoo.
