Danilo from Brazil
Hackett is proud to have received some newly enrolled students this school year! Having a diverse selection of students from different cultures is very important and we should honor these new faces.
Danilo Soares is one of our new students who came across the world from Brazil. He joined us this year because of his mother, who, like him, traveled to America and attended Hackett for a better education. “I decided to move here because it is good for my career in the future, also because it is good to know another language and culture.” Danilo is enjoying becoming familiar with American culture through Hackett. He is excelling in learning English, which is much different from Portuguese!
One of the things Danilo highlighted was the difference between the landscape of America and Brazil. “Here in America, everything is so different from Brazil, where I’m from (São Paulo), there are tons of buildings, but here in Kalamazoo, it's amazing. The trees don’t change color in Brazil, so I enjoy nature here.” Danilo appreciates America's diverse nature and often bikes trails to enjoy the scenery. Let’s all welcome Danilo Soares!
