Fear Factor…and Capstone

What is your biggest fear? According to Cross River Therapy around 75% of people in the United States will say Public Speaking. Which means more than 200 million people feel nervous talking to others. How do people deal with this fear? How can they get over it?

Mayo Clinic has offered many examples of how to get over a fear of public speaking. Knowing your topic is one of the main ideas, the more you know your topic the less likely you’ll make a mistake or get off track. You should practice many times, and when practicing you should practice in front of some people to help make you more confident. Lastly, get organized, the more organized you are, the less nervous you will be.
With Capstone concluding in roughly two weeks, we seniors are planning our presentations. Many of us are very nervous and we are hoping our presentations go well.
One senior said, “If I know what to say I'll be fine, I'm only really nervous if I am unprepared.” So with having lots of practice and preparing yourself beforehand it will make us more confident and comfortable with presenting.
