Generations of Excellence
On Thursday, September 19th, Hackett alumni gathered at the Kalamazoo Country Club to celebrate the induction of multiple individuals and teams into Hackett’s Hall of Fame. Teams honored were St. Augustine High School’s football state champions of 1949, as well as Hackett Catholic Central’s Men’s Soccer state champions of 1991.
These teams are now honored in the Hall of Fame. Many individuals were also awarded. The Distinguished Alumni Award was earned by Thomas B. Martin from the class of ‘74. The Bishops’ Service Award
was earned by Neoma Kilway. Athletic awards were given to Kathleen Hawkins from the class of 2010, Mark Adamczyk from the class of 1991, and Joe Rosenhagen from the class of 1977.
There were a multitude of moving speeches given by the recipients of these awards. Alumni bonded over shared experiences and school spirit. There was a group of student volunteers there as well, who assisted in showing people to their seats, greeting people, and more.
Generations of past and present Hackett students came together to make for a very special and memorable night.
