“Give Blood, Save a Life” HCP Blood Drive 2023

This week Hackett Catholic Prep hosted its second annual blood drive!

Hackett opened its doors to the public and the Irish community during the short week of school students had, and offered an opportunity to serve the community by giving blood and saving lives. 

“It was a good experience," explains Hackett Senior, Leo Redmond who participated in donating blood. Another Irish senior,  Andrew Rann, who donated blood and also volunteered at the blood drive shared his thoughts saying, “it was an incredible experience, watching students and parents come together to save lives and sacrifice…” 

We had 24 donors. With seventeen whole blood units donated, and two power red units, we collected 21 units total. 

The Hackett community and others came together during this blood drive to have an impact on the world around us and gave a little bit of their precious time to help people in need.
