Celebrate cultures from all around the world with food, music, dancing, and other fun activities when you join the Spanish Club! Organized by the Spanish teacher, Mr.Voege, Spanish Club is a great way to immerse yourself in a different language and culture.
Spanish Club had their first meeting on Tuesday, Nov 14, where they made paper people chains, listened to salsa music, and enjoyed guacamole and pico de gallo. Mr. Voege plans to have music, activities, and food at every meeting.
Some of the fun activities the members of Spanish Club participated in last year were loteria (bingo) and Spanish Just Dance. Last year, they even took part in social dance lessons, where students got a chance to learn different dances from professionals, such as the salsa and merengue.
The best thing about Spanish Club is that you don’t have to be taking Spanish to join. Mr. Voege welcomes all to participate, and it’s not too late to join. If you missed the first meeting there will be one every month. You don’t even need to go to all the meetings to be a part of Spanish Club. To figure out what day there will be a meeting, ask Mr. Voege or check his board for an update.
