Coming April 4th, fans everywhere are anticipating the release of “A Minecraft Movie.” It has been in the works for a while, and finally come to the big screen.
It’s based on the popular video game, “Minecraft”, which you have probably heard of before as it is a staple of many people's childhoods. However, there has been a bit of pushback online in regards to the movie.
The teaser has been described as “soulless,” “a Hollywood butchering” and “utterly horrifying in almost every conceivable way.” The criticisms are largely levied against visuals and casting. However, Julian Barry’s opinion largely differs from this in every way.
Barry says , “On a scale of 1-10, I'm feeling an 11/10 excitement, this might be one of the most important events in history.” and in response to the casting critique, he says he’s , “actually looking forward to seeing Jack Black play Steve.”
Many popular quotes from the trailer are surfacing on memes, and giving the upcoming movie some much needed attention. Julian of course, was no stranger to these quotes, and even went through the liberty of ranking them.
