Ms. Aidan Succeeds
Ms. Aidan is celebrating a recent success. Her work is being featured at the Westin Gallery from October 4, 2024-October 25, 2024. The display New England and Back shows scenes from her time spent in Maine and New Hampshire over the course of a few years. Her twenty-six pieces make up an astounding flurry of weather events and depictions of nature.

When asked about her reaction to learning she’d be in an art show, she said, “I was very thrilled because it's a solo show. It's an honor to get into a gallery on your own.”
She believes that art is a way to process her feelings and share her viewpoints. Maine and New Hampshire are unique in their sharpness of color and light. Ms. Aidan took this as inspiration to capture this special place using a limited palette. Indeed, her display is incredibly distinctive and deserving of all the praise it has received.
As for how her success will translate into how she teaches at Hackett, Ms. Aidan stated, “I would say it boosts my confidence as an artist, and so that would translate into the way I teach. I would also hope that students looking at my show would see that I’m committed to what I'm doing and see that I have made a life out of it.” She hopes that her work will inspire her students to pursue the arts.
