Senior Spotlight: Liam Roth Cooking On And Off The Feild

Liam Roth, the man who scores bangers for Hackett will continue playing at Kalamazoo College. Liam's love for soccer and sports started when he was hitting golf balls in his front yard with his grandpa at the age of 1 and ever since, sports has meant a huge deal to Liam. When asked about the topic he said, “My family has always had a large emphasis on sports, especially soccer, and there is no doubt it has shaped my life.” Liam started his soccer career at the age of 3, playing for AYSO soccer club and then joined Portage Soccer Club at the age of 7, which is the club he still plays for today. In the Hackett soccer program Liam has recorded over 50 career goals and has received 3 all state honors! Liam will be taking his love for soccer and sports into his future as he will be playing soccer at K college next year and wants to study physical therapy!

When you don't see Liam cooking defenses on the soccer field then you might find him cooking up some dishes! If you want to eat the best pasta, a perfectly grilled steak, or the tastiest grilled vegetables in your life, then go find Liam and he will make you some of the best food in your life. Or if you want something simple like a sandwich go find Liam at Jimmy Johns and he’ll make you the best sandwich!

In his free time, Liam enjoys spending time with friends and family. In the summer, you’ll find him on the golf course with his buddies playing a friendly round, and on most nights at home playing board games with his 3 siblings. Liam looks forward to continue making an impact on and off the soccer field, and we can’t wait to see what he does! “I think I’m ready for this next step in my life, kind of nervous, but mostly just excited.”
