The Best Part of the Day
By: Ty Brand
In previous years at Hackett there have always been so many exciting ending announcements whether it be a national holiday, a joke, or even a motivational quote. These have caught the attention of students here at Hackett and I sat down to talk with them about their preference for what they hear at the end of the announcements.
Senior Elsie Copp says, “I prefer the quote of the day because sometimes you don't know when you need to hear them, and it's also helpful because if you're struggling with something it can help you get through it.”
Sophomore Clara Slattery says that she prefers the quote of the day because “In the past the jokes were just stupid and no one thought they were funny.”
Senior Roxanne Anderson said, “I prefer a quote because it's always inspirational and it's a great way to start the day.”
Junior Lilly Cooper agreed, “I don't think the jokes are funny and the quote starts your day on the track.”
Senior Nolan Silkworth disagreed, saying, “because quote of the day is stupid and jokes of the day are funny.”
