United We Stood, Divided They’ll Fall

Another year of basketball brings more exciting cross-town rivalry games to Harve-Freeman Gymnasium. The most notable of all is against our closest neighbor, Kalamazoo Christian.

The Irish ended last season with three decisive wins against the Comets, and look forward to continuing this streak.

“It’s just another game,” says senior Andrew Rann “The stakes are obviously high whenever we match up, but it takes the same composure and attitude to win a game like that as any other game.”

Students are heavily encouraged to come to this game and help out the Irish with their cheering! The theme for the Kalamazoo Christian games is "white lie". This means students should write a harmless white lie about themselves on a plain white t-shirt and wear it to the game.

The games are on Friday, with Varsity Girls playing at 6:00 PM, and Varsity Boys at 7:30 PM. Students are free if they show their student IDs to the admissions table. We hope to see you there!
