Senior Spotlight: Harrison's Road to Success

If you want to surround yourself with a hard working person who has a kind heart and leaves it all to God, look no further than Harrison Wheeler. Harrison works very hard and has multiple jobs: he works at Taco Bobs, does landscaping around his community, and on top of that he helps his friends fix cars. 

As a child Harrison was very family oriented and has always been a hard worker. Harrison said, “I am always trying to learn something new every day.” One of Harrison's favorite memories during his time at Hackett goes all the way back to his freshman year when former principal Mr. Dull took the whole school outside when it was extremely hot and we played games with the whole school.

The sports that Harrison took part in was he played football his freshman and sophomore year, he also played basketball his freshman year, and bowled his junior and senior year. 

One of the biggest life changing moments in Harrison's life was his car accident in summer of 2023. This impacted Harrison because it drastically changed everything in his life and gave him a new perspective. Harrison said, “It added a lot of mental and physical challenges, such as I shattered my ankle and had to have parts of my stomach removed.” 

Harrison also broke his back in three different locations. Harrison’s mental challenges were that he could not walk or eat and lost about 60 lbs. He was also the first person in Michigan to get an infusion at 17 years old. 

One message that Harrison has for everyone is, “You have to find the good in everything, love and respect everyone, even your enemies, and never take anything for granted in this world.” After high school Harrison is going to a trade school where he will become an electrician.
