Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow…
During the winter months, when the days are long and cold, there is nothing some students want more than a snow day. Weather forecasts, snow day predictors, and local closings are followed closely the night before snowy weather is expected. Students stay up late conversing in group chats while watching the news, hoping and praying for school to be cancelled. But what do people do on snow days? Are they really all that great?

Senior Victoria Ivans sure thinks so. “I like snow days because they provide a much needed break, which can be nice especially when school gets stressful. They also allow time to catch up on work, which is what I usually do.”
Some students prefer to forget about school and take a day to rest.
Jude Coffman says that he prefers to take snow
days to play video games and relax. Snow days can be great to step away from school work and rest mentally and physically.
“I start off by sleeping in, take a look outside, then do nothing for the rest of the day”, says Amanda Piel.
The general consensus seems to be that students can always find something to do during snow days. Whether it is relaxation, work, or other activities, snow days are the best way to reset and enjoy time with family. While this may push assignments and class schedules back a day or two, this time off can actually be very beneficial to getting work done and coming back to school well-rested with assignments taken care of. Let’s all hope for some more snow days this year!
